A change in lifestyle in 2011, allowed lifelong horse owner Carys Jones the opportunity to combine her twin passions of horses and photography. Since then the Surrey-based award-winning equine fine art photographer has travelled extensively in pursuit of her art.
Carys choses to work with horses in their native environments, where they are free to exhibit their natural equine behaviour and more recently has started to explore abstract depictions of her subjects, through use of intentional camera movement, slow shutter speeds and other techniques.
In recent years Carys’s work has appeared in print in national titles and online magazines, whilst her clients include both U.S and U.K retailers. In recent years she has had success in the Royal Photographic Society International Photography Exhibition, the Outdoor Photographer of the Year and the EPSON International Pano Awards.
Carys juggles a portfolio career – maintaining a part-time corporate role alongside her photography business. Carys exhibits regularly, selling her limited-edition work at art fairs and direct through her website. She is also an accomplished public speaker.
